If you missed the news today, there's a new DCFC/NGS-related Twitter account called Let's Make Roots which, according to the Twitter bio is, "an account created to coordinate the purchasing of tickets for local area Kids to Detroit City FC matches at Keyworth Stadium..."
I think this is fantastic, to be quite honest.
Think back to when you were the age of some of these kids. Imagine having something like DCFC, a place like Keyworth...the ability to attend matches is going to create fans for life. It's going to create the next generation of supporters.
It's just an amazing idea and yet another example of the community-focused nature of the Northern Guard and Detroit City. It makes me proud to be a member of this SG and a supporter of this team.
Donate if you can. I plan on it. This is important. This is huge.
Enormous thank you to those who came up with the idea and those who are coordinating the tickets.

This outreach will allow anyone to purchase/donate tickets to be distributed to the local Hamtramck/Detroit/Keyworth community.
People can contribute in two ways: 1. Donate extra single-game tickets they already have (no season ticket passes please).
2. You can purchase single-game tickets online and...you can forward us the eticket you receive, or deliver in person too. *NOTE - More on this to come*
Each game day, we'll pick up the tickets and distribute them to surrounding kids/families.
The goal is to give as many people as possible the chance to fall in love with @detroitcityfc like we have. This is about #DCTID.
Plus it ensures that tickets are being purchased, the club is being supported, and the community is benefiting. A win for everyone.
