As the season grows near, we've received confirmation from the FO that we will be releasing new kits for 2016. Due to the debacle in years past with kits either selling out due to Nike providing short supply (last season) or Nike not shipping us extras at all (the glorious double-rouge hoops kit), our FO has hinted that the 2016 kits will be revert to a simple look in order to keep up with season merchandise demand. According to Nike's teamwear catalog, there are only a few designs that are offered in Rouge. Have a look....which do you prefer: The Classic, The Ringer, or the Ajax/Arsenal?

I'm a fan of the ringer, myself. It's a classic look for a reason.

I have to agree with högs. After working on the kit history for our wiki, our look has definitely been more on the all rouge dude.
So for home kits I'd love plain rouge with the white border. For the away gold with white sides (park derby/design # 3 in the OP). For our thirds, can't beat all black.

Yes. I'm a huge fan of the black third kit. Or even a silver/grey one. I must admit, when I saw Nike's third kit for Roma last year, I immediately imagined it in black with gold fades for City. A man can dream, right?

As bland as it may sound, I actually would just prefer a 100% bland rouge top for our home kit, with rouge shorts, and rouge socks. Why? Because that was our first kit for our first home in 2012, and I think a cleaner version of it would be a nice symbol for our first season in our new stadium.

My very bland predictions:

Since we'll never have hoops...
Home: ringer Away: monochrome white, although pulling in a primary gold color for away would be nice.
And hopefully a kit sponsor that has a simple logo so it doesn't take away from the crest.

I'd almost say Faygo as a sponsor, except I don't want any ICP jokes.

I like the first one. Minimalist. And Rouge.

Regarding the sponsor, I was made to think Metro Chevy Dealers signed a multi-year dealer. If not them I'd love Flagstar, they seemed very excited to be sponsoring us (at least on social media). Though I guess a bank doesn't exactly scream "Club of the People". I can do without ICP comparisons.

I can do without ICP comparisons. But damned if Rock N'Rye isn't delicious. Wonder if we could get a City-based Rock N'Rouge flavor?

I thought it was said publicly that all 2015 sponsorship contracts were set up as one year deals, looking ahead to Keyworth/2016/etc, but I might have invented that.
As to the kit, I'm kinda open to anything that isn't blatantly someone else's, so no Ajax/Arsenal if we can help it.

That's sorta what I thought, but I've been told I was wrong so - *shrug*. As to the kit, I'm kinda open to anything that isn't blatantly someone else's, so no Ajax/Arsenal if we can help it. I'd say "agree" but we likely don't have many options.

Understood. It also hinges, it would seem, a bit on who the front kit sponsor is and what the design will look like. 2015 was relatively large/intricate. I'd hope the kit design is considered in light of the front logo.

So why use Nike? My kid's Club (one of the largest in the State) has never ending issues with Nike for getting uniforms and training gear. Not sure how they continue to have teams stay with them if they can't provide their materials. Why not look into Adidas, Under Armour or anyone else???
